CUE Global does not need to set any indicator-specific values or thresholds or parameters. One may install it out of the box and start using the system.
If you are trading in global (non-USA) markets or want to make changes to default settings, then the country specific CUE indicators may be edited to set the parameters as described below.
CUE # Global Benchmark Setting
1. Benchmark: This parameter is used in the calculation of the Relative Performance indicator. For example, for USA stock trading, the S&P500 Index of SPY ETF could be used for the benchmark.
CUE # Global Session Setting
2. Session: This is relevant only for Real-Time users. The session parameters indicate the start time and end time of the daily trading sessions. Intraday pivot levels are calculated using this information. You may set these parameters to your stock market session start and end times. For the USA market, that will be 9:30 AM for the session start and 4:00 PM for the session end.
CUE # Global Scan Setting
3. Liquidity: Often traders prefer to trade liquid instruments. What constitutes liquidity may vary from country to country. By default CUE System sets the liquid parameter to a high enough value. This parameter is used in the CUE scan to identify the list of liquid stocks from a bigger stock list (e.g. finding liquid stocks from All US Stocks list). 4. Optimal Price Low, Mid & High: Some traders may want to run CUE scans only for stocks in specific price-ranges (high, medium, low price ranges). These parameters are used to create lists of those stocks. E.g., stocks in the low price range could be between 5 USD (optimal low) to 10 USD (optimal mid). Mid-priced stocks could be between 10 USD (optimal mid) and 110 USD (optimal high). High price stocks could be those above 110 USD (optimal high). In this scheme, stocks below 5 USD (optimal low) would not be traded - those may be too low priced to be useful for many traders. Traders may run CUE scans on one or several of these lists instead of on a list that includes all stocks in the market.
CUE # Market % Setting
5. Market: This is a list of market symbols that are used in CUE MB Market % Change Intraday chart.
Color of the symbols will be plotted as cyan, yellow, gray, red and magenta for symbols 1 to 5 respectively.
6. Mega-Cap: This is a list of mega cap stocks' that are used in CUE MB Market % Change Intraday chart.
That chart includes a custom intraday index that is created using the symbols supplied in this settings file.
